Filippos Fragkogiannis is an award-winning Greek graphic designer and art director based in Athens, working as a freelancer since April 2019. His services include art direction, visual identity, posters, advertising, social media, and digital content.
His attraction to visual arts and communication has also been expressed through his long-standing involvement with photography, content curation and graffiti. In 2023 he was accepted as an Awwwards Jury Member.
Filippos Fragkogiannis takes a research-based approach to his graphic design practice, exploring semiotics, symbolism and the mechanics of visual language. This approach could be described as sharp, transparent, and plain-spoken.
He aims for the outcome to be direct and honest, serving its purpose and getting the message across in a straightforward manner. He is all for simple, truthful, and type-centered design.
Filippos develops a creative methodology that moves from research and accumulation to condensation and abstraction. In our saturated times, his intention is to communicate messages that speak a universal language and appeal to a wider audience.
In July 2018, Filippos founded Certain Magazine, an independent curatorial platform that chronicles contemporary graphic design and celebrates handpicked design projects from around the world.
Since then, it has grown considerably and, at times, significantly expanded, with thousands of users passionate about creativity and visual communication.
