Excited to be a part of W Type Foundry’s Best Wishes Italic Collaborative Typography Workshop, where I contributed the letters 'I' and 'Æ'. The workshop was conducted in January 2022, and it was the latest addition completing the world’s largest experimental collaborative typeface. The process of designing this functional font was enjoyable and offered an alternative experience. It challenged us to exercise our creativity in typography by using just paper, scissors and glue!
93 participants from 23 countries contributed to creating this experimental, single-weight and highly display typeface, ideal for short texts or headlines. Including a total of 345 characters, among letters, symbols, punctuation and emojis, WTF_CollabType_BWI is currently available for free and downloadable for non-commercial use on W Type Foundry’s website.
